PROGRAM: Moving from Diversity to Human Equity and Equitable Leadership. The Organizational Development & Strategy Team of Jefferson County Human Services will present their 2016 Leadership Development training on Equity. The premise for this training was a part of a larger strategy for Jefferson County Human Services to become an Employer of Choice. Diversity speaks to the presence of a variety of protected classes. Inclusivity speaks to giving voice and participation of those present. Equity speaks to the intentional inclusion of all parties, even those not represented. Further, human equity and equitable leadership speaks to maximizing the potential of all people within the organization and drives employee engagement. The team utilized the work of Human Capital Strategist Trevor Wilson, author of “The Human Equity Advantage” and founder of TWI International, as well as data from theNeuroLeadership Institute and Deloitte in their training and development. The team will discuss how they delivered the program content, the business application, the initial results, and the next steps for 2017.

Natalie Williams, Director of Human Capital & Strategy, has been with Jefferson County Human Services for 10 years, with a prior background in grassroots activism and nonprofit leadership. Through her work in Human Capital Strategy, Natalie significantly improved turnover and built the Organizational Development team. Natalie earned her Master of Public Administration from CU Denver and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Kelly Eargle, Employee Relations & Organizational Development Specialist, has been with Jefferson County Human Services for 2 years, with a prior background in operations management, employee development, teaching and coaching in not-for-profit organizations. Kelly has developed the leadership coaching practice and collaboratively designs and delivers the leadership development program. Kelly earned her Master of Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Executive Leadership from Regis University.
Jolene Bracy, Special Projects Coordinator for Organizational Development, has been with Jefferson County Human Services for 1 ½ years, with a prior background in marketing communications, as well as a variety of leadership and programmatic roles within for profit, nonprofit, and government sectors. Jolene started with Human Services as the Lynn A. Johnson Leadership Fellow while completing her MPA. Jolene’s specialty is data sourcing, analysis and communications. Jolene continues to transform the use of data in both employee relations and leadership development. Jolene earned her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from CU Denver.
PARKING: The Human Services building is on the corner of Jefferson County Parkway and Illinois Street. The entrance is on Illinois Street. Complimentary parking is available in front of the building.
UPON ARRIVAL: Enter the main entrance on the right side of the building and take an immediate right into the “cafeteria” area. The meeting will be in the Small Cafeteria Room, just to your left once inside the “cafeteria” area.
